Apple will add a new type of subscription offer called offer codes, which will allow developers to easily distribute one-time use codes to new, existing, or previous subscribers. They will be available either digitally or via print outs (both of which can be used offline) and can be redeemed in the App Store or within the app.

The New Google Console (Beta): New Acquisition Report & Insights to Keep Your App Quality
On June 10th, 2020 Google launched Android 11 Beta, which focuses on People, Controls, and Privacy. As a part of the launch, the new beta Google Play Console has been introduced. It has supposedly been designed to help the Console users access all necessary information, including performance insights, policy changes, release statuses, and so on.

ASO Monthly #48 April 2020: App Store new categories & markets go live, Google UAC tests with a direct button and more!
At the beginning of February, Apple announced the unification of categories across the App Store and Mac App Store as apps are able to be distributed across both Stores, enabling users to download apps as a universal purchase. You will now find Developer Tools and Graphics and Design categories on the App Store, which can be selected in the App Store Connect as of mid-March.

After being in testing for over a month, dark mode on the Play Store has finally been rolled out to the public. In comparison with the light mode, dark mode allows creative assets to stand out more due to a less shadowy effect. The main benefits of dark mode are longer battery life and a screen that is easier on the eyes, which is likely to encourage many users to switch to it. It’s therefore important to make sure that creative assets look good in both light and dark mode.
